Elimination, setting the Index
- The classes run according to bracket racing principles with some modifications, see below.
- Personal dial-in for elimination is set to the participant's best ET from qualification minus 0.5 seconds (402 m) / 0.3 sec (201 m).
- The participant is allowed to set his/her personal dial-in lower (not higher) than the best ET minus 0.5 sec / 0.3 sec if he/she wants.
- Personal dial-in is not allowed to be set lower than 7.50 (402 m) / 4.80 (201 m).
- Personal dial-in is not allowed to be set higher than 12.00 sec (402 m) / 7.80 (201 m).
- Personal dial-in is never allowed to be changed during elimination.
- Personal dial-in must be submitted in writing to the timekeeper well in advance of the elimination. This is preferably done on a joint summary for all participants in both classes. However, it is the responsibility of each individual participant to ensure that the dial-in is submitted to the timekeeper on time.
- The personal dial-in must be clearly written on the car during elimination.
Start
- Handicap start in elimination/final, based on difference in personal dial-in between the competitors.
- Sportsman-tree, i.e. 0.5 sec between the three yellow lights and then green light.
- No autostart of the tree.
Qualifying rounds
- Qualifying list is decided based on fastest reaction time. This also determines placement in the elimination ladder.
Elimination
- ALL-IN sportsman ladder. Lame ladder if necessary.
- If the participant drives faster than his personal dial-in, the participant is disqualified. However: if the competitor has run even faster than his personal dial-in, only the competitor is disqualified.
- The participant who is first across the finish line without brake-out or being disqualified wins.
Other
- 201 m or 402 m?
This is decided by general track length. If possible, all vintage classes run 402 m. - If the competition is conducted according to Nitroz Motorsport's rules:
Breakout according to the car's highest speed (Safety Class). - If the competition is conducted according to SBF's rules:
Breakout according to the fastest time for the car.
